Kyros stores routines, schedules and photographs on your device. When you sign in, supported schedules and communication data also synchronise to Binapani servers. The optional medical-category field is not synchronised through the current profile feature.
Signing in enables synchronisation of supported information. Caregiver access is managed using invitations and account permissions.
We do not sell Kyros personal information or use private routine content for targeted advertising. You may exercise applicable privacy rights, including requesting access to or deletion of personal data.
Kyros helps people manage visual routines, schedules, and communication. It is available internationally on supported devices. This Privacy Policy explains how Binapani Ltd handles information when you use Kyros. Your privacy rights may also depend on the laws that apply where you live.
You can use supported features in Guest mode or create a Binapani account to access synchronisation and caregiver features.
Depending on whether you use Kyros in guest mode or with a registered Binapani account, information is handled in the following ways:
Kyros stores routines, communication boards, schedules, preferences and pictures you add. Your profile may also contain your name, optional age, profile picture and an optional medical-category field. Information entered in that medical-category field is stored in the local profile and is not synchronised to Binapani's servers through the current profile feature. You do not need to provide it to use Kyros.
Guest routines, pictures and custom calming audio are kept on your device, rather than synchronised with a Binapani account. Kyros may still download its standard picture symbols from the internet.
Registration and sign-in use your name, email address, username, password, session information, and a device-derived identifier to help keep your account secure. Your Binapani account may also be used to sign in to other Binapani services.
When you are signed in, supported schedules, activity titles and descriptions, communication-card details, and settings are synchronised with Binapani's servers. Descriptions may contain sensitive personal information that you choose to enter. If you enable caregiver access, we also store invitations, account links, and access permissions. Information is made available to authorised caregivers according to the permissions granted.
Photographs added to activity tiles are stored as files on your device in the current implementation. However, synchronisation may transmit a reference to the local image file. If you upload a custom calming audio track while signed in, both the audio file and its filename are sent to cloud storage for playback. An authorised caregiver may also upload a track on behalf of a supported user. Custom calming audio added in Guest mode remains stored on the device.
Kyros schedules activity reminders locally on your device. When you use online services, technical information such as your IP address, request details, and security logs may be processed to handle requests and maintain service security.
We use information to provide the features you choose, manage accounts, synchronise data, administer caregiver access, deliver picture symbols, respond to support requests, and protect our services. We do not sell personal information collected through Kyros or use private Kyros content for targeted advertising.
Where UK or European data protection law applies, we generally process information needed to provide requested account and synchronisation features to perform our contract with you. We may process information for security purposes based on our legitimate interests, and we may process certain records to comply with legal obligations.
Schedule descriptions and communication-card text may contain sensitive personal information if you choose to enter it. You are not required to provide health or disability information in these descriptions. Please avoid including more sensitive information than is necessary. Where we process special-category personal data, additional legal requirements and safeguards apply.
We use service providers to host and store data, maintain security, and deliver content. Your information may also be accessed by caregivers you authorise or disclosed where required by law.
Kyros downloads standard picture symbols through services hosted by Cloudflare. As with other internet downloads, Cloudflare may receive your IP address and information about the file requested. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy .
Binapani operates in the UK and India, and Kyros is available in other countries. Account information and synchronised content may be processed in the UK, India, or other countries where our service providers operate. Using Kyros in the UK does not necessarily mean that all processing takes place in the UK.
Where an international data transfer is subject to legal restrictions, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism as required by applicable data protection law. You can contact contact@binapani.com to request information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy of relevant transfer documentation, where available.
Kyros can be used to support children. Parents, guardians or other appropriately authorised adults should manage accounts and caregiver permissions where necessary. Avoid entering more sensitive information than is needed for the features you use. Kyros is not a medical diagnosis or emergency service.
We use access controls and secure connections for online services, and secure operating-system storage for app sign-in tokens. Device and backup settings also affect locally stored information.
We retain account information and synchronised content for as long as needed to maintain your active account and provide the features you choose, or as required for legitimate purposes and applicable legal obligations.
When you delete your account, Kyros's account-deletion process removes the associated active Kyros server records. Limited security records and backup copies may be retained for a period where necessary for security, recovery, or legal compliance. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements. You can contact contact@binapani.com to request information about the retention criteria applicable to your data.
Information stored only on your device remains there until you remove it through the app, your device settings, or the operating system. Device backups may retain copies even after the original information has been deleted.
Registered users can initiate account deletion using Settings → Account → Delete account in the Kyros app, or through the dedicated account-deletion resource on our website:
Binapani Account Deletion RequestAccount deletion in Kyros removes the shared Binapani sign-in account, which can prevent access to other Binapani services. Other products may hold additional information that requires separate deletion handling; the Kyros deletion action should not be understood as a guarantee that all other product data has been erased. Please contact us before deletion if you need clarification about other services. Some records may be retained where legally required. Uninstalling Kyros does not delete a registered account.
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent when consent is the basis for processing.
Contact contact@binapani.com without sending passwords or sensitive records. You may complain to your relevant data protection authority; for the UK, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) .
We may update this policy when Kyros or our data practices change. We will update the effective date and give additional notice when required.
